According to early players, the Xbox Series X struggles to handle S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in performance mode
One of the biggest problems with modern games is optimization, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 seems to be no exception. Early testing of the game on Xbox Series X shows that the game has difficulty running in performance mode.
Reddit user OrfeasDourvas tested the game after receiving the game disc before the official release and reported that FPS in this mode “not smooth” and “not very pleasant.” Although the graphics retain a high level of detail and textures look good, performance leaves much to be desired. In performance mode, the game suffers from loss of image quality, and textures, although high resolution, look "a little dirty."
Although the game shows improved graphics using VRR, 60 FPS stability was never achieved. The best experience, according to the tester, can be obtained when playing in quality mode with 30 FPS, which ensures stability and high image quality.
