According to Hideo Kojima, OD is a bit of a risky game, unlike any other
With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Physint and OD, Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima Productions have their hands full, and while any game that comes out of Kojima's head will obviously attract attention, for many it is OD that looks the most intriguing. Touted as a horror experience that will be somewhere between a game and a film, but also touting a star-studded cast, it will obviously be quite an experimental project.
Kojima recently touched on this same topic in an interview with Variety and reiterated how risky OD would be, calling it "a game like no other" and a "new challenge" even for him as a developer.
This isn't the first time Kojima has talked about OD's uniqueness. He previously said it would be as experimental as Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand, a game Kojima previously developed for the Game Boy Advance that used a sunlight sensor as a core component of its combat mechanics.
Meanwhile, later in the interview, Kojima also briefly spoke about Hollywood director Jordan Peele's involvement in OD.
Kojima previously explained that Peele will be involved in OD in a creative capacity, and although he did not specify in what capacity will be his role, he revealed that there were other famous stars with whom he also collaborated for OD.
