Another class action lawsuit has been filed against Intel: the company is accused of deliberately selling defective Raptor Lake processors
Apparently, Intel will not be able to easily get rid of the problems with the 13th and 14th generation Raptor Lake processors: Tom's Hardware reports that another class action lawsuit was filed against Intel this week. This is the second case in recent times:
The plaintiff accuses Intel of knowingly selling defective Raptor Lake processors of the 13th and 14th generations. The lawsuit states that since purchasing the processor in 2023, the buyer has experienced constant problems, including crashes, reboots, and BSOD. Installing a patch from Intel did not help, since the processor had already degraded over time.
The plaintiff believes that Intel was aware of problems with the instability of its processors and discovered them at the production stage, but still decided to release them on sale. Despite the fact that Intel extended the warranty on the processors, according to the plaintiff, this is not enough, since buyers have been experiencing discomfort all this time due to the poor performance of the processors - the plaintiff is demanding triple damages for all people who joined the lawsuit.
