CDPR accused of using bots to protect The Witcher 4 amid Ciri controversy

The Witcher 4 was one of the most popular announcements at last year's The Game Awards, surprising players who had been patiently waiting for the sequel. Despite much excitement, some fans were quite upset by CDPR's decision to make Ciri the main character.

CDPR is now accused of using a bot farm to protect the game from online critics. These accounts are accused of using the same talking points in every argument, making it seem like a canned script.

Twitter user @AydinPaladin claims that CDPR hired bots to discuss common arguments against The Witcher 4. The dispute began when another account, @subtaxia92, began arguing with AydinPaladin about something that had not previously been brought up.

Accused account begins to say that Ciri is a witcher in the books, which, as many other users claim, is not true. Ciri's overprotectiveness did not go unnoticed by other users.

The Witcher 4 follows a different path than the books, so she will become a mutated witcher. However, it is unclear how she will fit into the dark and harsh world torn by war. Overall, it's best to take these claims with a grain of salt. Hiring CDPR bots to protect their next big game is far-fetched, but the way the account reacts has certainly convinced many.
