Destiny 2: Beyond Light: New Season of the Hunt Trailer
A new dramatic trailer released today for the upcoming Destiny 2: Season of the Hunt, shows the arrival of Xivu Arata and answers the question on everyone's mind: "What if we're not the only ones the Darkness is talking to?".
The trailer for the upcoming Hunt Season was released yesterday, under which the developers published the following description:
Entire planets have disappeared. In the chaos that ensues, Xivu Arat, the hive god of war, boldly rises to power. If left unchecked, she threatens the Solar System, which is already in turmoil. Studying the growing threat, Osiris needs help. Fortunately, a new - and yet familiar - ally known as Raven joins you in the rescue...
Hive shrines spawn throughout the system. Spider has felt the impact of this breach and wants to make a deal. Together with him and Raven, create a device that will pull Xivu Arata's lieutenants out of hiding. Once built, upgrade your lure, catch your prey and challenge the hive god.
Equip yourself with the new Exotic Shotgun: Duality, new legendary armor and strap on your holster - Hawkmoon is back.
Darkness is, of course, the counterpart to Light, introduced in Destiny 2's most recent Beyond Light expansion. And this seems to have somehow caught the attention of Xivu Arath, the Hive God of War, who is taking steps to consolidate his power, which naturally pose an existential threat to our solar system.
Osiris, who was counting it all backstage, has reached out to you for help (again). But you will not face this threat alone - you will be supported by a mysterious Guardian who calls himself Raven. Except this Raven is actually Uldren Sov, the bad guy who threw Cayde-6 into the ground in the Forsaken expansion. However, he now appears to be suffering from amnesia, which opens the door to some very interesting ethical questions about responsible behavior and retribution.
Gameplay-wise, Season of the Hunt will introduce Hive Shrines throughout the system, which the charming anti-hero known as the Spider would love to see you were dealing. Several new exotic weapons will be added this season, including the returning Hawkmoon hand cannon. and a shotgun called Duality, which you can take right now. The same goes for the new seasonal artifact called Fang of Xivu Arath and of course the brand new season pass with free and paid reward tracks.
Destiny 2: Hunting Season Begins November 17.
