Destiny 2: Beyond Light - Story Trailer Released

The launch of the next big Destiny 2, Beyond Light expansion is only a few days away, and information density has reached critical mass.

So far, we've learned quite a bit about Europa and its frozen surface. We also learned about the Destiny content store and what content will be removed.

So, what else can the recently released Destiny 2: Beyond Light launch trailer tell us about the expansion from 10 November?

Variks, Eramis and the Stranger

The trailer begins with Zavala once again calling on the Guardians of the Solar System to unite and protect humanity.

It also refers to something we didn't know much about until now: Darkness.

The trailer shows the Varix that called out a distress call, warning us of a new Fallen threat.

Eramis, formerly Baroness Volkov, now assumes the mantle of Kell of Darkness. With the help of Stasis, we can see how she empowers the gathered Fallen with new powers.

Throughout the trailer, we also see an old friend from the original Destiny, the Stranger.

This time, she doesn't just mysteriously appear and disappear. In the trailer, we see her using stasis abilities on enemy Fallen, suggesting she could be how we're going to get our new ice abilities.
