Epic Games has published a detailed guide on migrating from Unity to Unreal Engine 5
Epic Games has published a complete guide to help development studios migrate from Unity to Unreal Engine 5.3. Of course, the timing of this move makes it clear its purpose: to catch as many developers as possible from those who are unhappy with Unity's behavior in connection with the unexpected introduction of installation fees.
A few days ago, Unity Technologies made a change to its user license by introducing the so-called “installation tax”, or Runtime Fee, which obliges developers to pay a certain amount for each installation exceeding a certain threshold.
One of the consequences of the introduction of installation fees was developers' refusal to use the Unity engine. Therefore, Epic Games has decided to take advantage of the situation and release this guide to make life easier for those who want to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.3. Of course, this is a long and very technical text, so it is not for everyone. However, if you want to check it out, you can find "Unreal Engine for Unity Developers" here.
