Final Fantasy: Square Enix Producer Can No Longer Rely on Exclusives

700">Final 700">Fantasy series producer Yoshinori 700">Kitase had an interview with IGN Brasil, in which he shared his thoughts on the 700">sales of 700">Final 700">Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

700">Kitase noted that “the publisher was happy to achieve a certain level of 700">sales for games", however such large projects can no longer remain locked into one platform and must reach as large an audience as possible:

Apparently exclusive deals with Sony for Forspoken, 700">Final 700">Fantasy 16 and 700">Final 700">Fantasy 7 Rebirth did not live up to Square Enix's expectations, since the publisher was thinking about switching to multi-platform releases. It is possible that the final part of the trilogy of 700">Final 700">Fantasy 7 remakes will delight owners of different platforms at the same time.

The release of 700">Final 700">Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PC will take place on January 23.
