New "Mission Impossible" received a name and a spectacular teaser trailer

The eighth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise is now officially called The Final Reckoning. This is the continuation of "Deadly Reckoning" 2023, which was split into two films. The premiere is expected on May 23, 2025. The film was originally supposed to be released in 2022, but filming was delayed due to the pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA actors' strike.

In the sequel, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) continues to fight against the artificial intelligence The Entity, which can predict him actions. After escaping disaster at the end of the previous film, Hunt discovers that The Entity is hidden aboard a Russian submarine, and he must face an enemy from his past, Gabriel (Esai Morales).

Returning cast members include Simon Pegg , Hayley Atwell and Ving Rhames. The director is again Christopher McQuarrie, who worked on the previous installments, and the producers are Tom Cruise and McQuarrie.
