Players accuse Vavra of hypocrisy and cancel pre-orders of KCD 2: in 2015 he said that blacks have no place in Bohemia
Yesterday, Daniel Vavra, game director of the upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, decided to put an end to speculation and finally admitted that the game will indeed have a black character - visiting Musa from Mali:
But it seems that this is not the answer from the players I’m not convinced at all: users accuse the developer of hypocrisy. According to them, many would now be quite calm about such minimal “diversity.” in the game, considering that inappropriate black characters are added to many modern Western games and this is not at all surprising. However, 9 years ago Vavra “put a spoke in his own wheels” - in 2015 he wrote that there were no blacks in medieval Bohemia:
It seems that over the past 9 years the principles of Vavra himself have been greatly shaken, thanks to which it was discovered that there were still blacks in medieval Bohemia opinion of Warhorse Studios.
A number of users reported that they are not going to financially support developers who first compromise their own principles to advance the agenda, and then shamefully for several days remained silent when information about this appeared online.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on February 4.
