Space Marine 2 is selling faster than Doom and Wolfenstein

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 from Saber Interactive is a huge success, already gaining 2 million players in just a few days of release. However, the game appears to be selling much faster than expected.

Tim Willits, Saber's current CCO, recently stated on X that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is selling faster than other games he has worked on. Willits was a studio director at id Software, working on franchises such as DOOM and Wolfenstein.

Tim Willits worked at id Software until July 2019, meaning he was involved in the development of DOOM (2018), Wolfenstein : The New Order and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, although DOOM: Eternal was released later.

It is certainly impressive that a game like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, until recently known as a niche franchise , manages to sell faster than other established gaming IPs.
