The creators of Mafia: The Old Country accidentally revealed the release date
One of the most interesting leaks over the past few hours is Mafia: The Old Country, the new part in the famous criminal saga from 2K and Hangar 13. According to the fact that it appeared on the Steam page, the game should officially be released on August 8, 2025. Although the date was not publicly declared developers, the post seemed to slip by mistake, as a result of which part of the information was revealed in advance, which was probably intended for a larger announcement.
details appeared in Steam, where a special event was also mentioned with the participation of Nika Baines (President of the Studio), Alex Cox (Gamd Director) and Thomas Habichek (director-director), in which the 23-year history of the Mafia franchise will be traced. During the meeting planned in Boston, unpublished content to develop the game will be shown, and participants will be able to get exclusive prizes. Those who cannot be attended physically can still monitor updates and surprises through official social channels.
Mafia: The Old Country promises to transfer players back in time, to Sicily of the beginning of the twentieth century to explore the origins of organized crime in the heart of the Mediterranean. The game is based on Unreal Engine 5, promising first -class visual experience and a cinematic narrative. It will also be a more linear game than the third part.
