The head of development of the new Mass Effect reassured worried fans
Mass Effect fans continue to worry about the fate of the series amid rumors of problems at BioWare and disappointments with the studio's latest projects. The departure of the Dragon Age game director and concerns about the closure of some studios only increased their anxiety.
However, the head of development of the new Mass Effect, Michael Gamble, found a way to instill confidence in fans. On social network X, he wrote that he "loves Mass Effect" and enjoys every work week. He also mentioned Brenon Holmes, the franchise's producer and a veteran of the original trilogy, which hints at the involvement of experienced talent on the project.
Of course, it's not much, but many fans saw it as a hint of what's in the studio. All is well and development is moving in the right direction.
Gamble previously assured fans that the new Mass Effect will maintain the "mature tone" of the original trilogy, which is especially important after the controversial changes in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
According to insiders, the release of the new part of the series is expected no earlier than 2026, and possibly in 2029.
