Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has been given an age rating in South Korea
Vampire role-playing game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 from The Chinese Room and Paradox Interactive has received an age rating in South Korea. Apparently, the development of the game is nearing completion.
The rating was received at the end of December last year, but it became known only now thanks to the Japanese publication Gematsu.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 has had a rough and bumpy development path. It was originally developed by Hardsuit Labs, known for Blacklight Retribution, with assistance from other developers (such as Brian Mitsoda, the author of the first game, and Chris Avellone). However, Paradox Interactive eventually removed the studio from the project and replaced it with The Chinese Room.
In 2020, some of the above people were fired (for various reasons that are not always clear), and Hardsuit Labs was removed from project by the publisher in February 2021. This meant that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 did not have an official developer for a long time, which meant its future was in doubt. In September 2023, it was announced that the project had been handed over to The Chinese Room, who would complete it and implement significant changes.
