Impressive parkour and brutal hand-to-hand combat - in the new trailer for Dying Light 2: Stay Human
Today's Gamescom 2021 broadcast opened with a spectacular gameplay trailer for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. The video demonstrates dynamic action, tied mainly to parkour and related combat techniques.
How can guess from the video, the main way to move around urban locations flooded with infected will be parkour. It is the skillful possession of his techniques that will help to avoid numerous enemy groups or get to hard-to-reach places. To conquer buildings, both improvised means and special devices are useful: a grappling hook and a wingsuit. It is curious that acrobatic stunts are also used in combat — the main character can jump over opponents, bounce off the wall to deliver more powerful blows, or attack while jumping.
Compared to the previous Dying Light, humans will be much more likely to be encountered as enemies and their behavior will become more aggressive, reflecting the increasing disintegration of society over 20 years after the events of the first part of the game. Numerous new and well-armed factions will appear, which will further increase the relevance of stealth mechanics. However, not all survivors will be hostile — the protagonist will also have allies ready to provide support.
The developers from Techland promised that in addition to the new storyline and modern graphics (including support for 4K, DLSS and RTX), players will find twice as many animations and an extremely rich item modification system.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be released on December 7 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
