A dark case of corruption in the heart of New York's underworld for charismatic detective John Blacksad. In the early 50s. Joe Dunn, the owner of the boxing club, is found dead. At the same time, his rising star, Robert Yale, who is due to step into the ring and compete in the most important fight of his career, goes missing under mysterious circumstances. Sonia Dunn, Joe's daughter, takes over the club and must deal with financial difficulties. She hires private detective John Blacksad to investigate Yale's disappearance and find him.
