A deception has been revealed: a Japanese Ubisoft consultant who criticized players for Yasuke turned out to be an employee of Sweet Baby Inc

As it became known, users have revealed Ubisoft’s latest manipulations regarding Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.

Recently, a Japanese “expert” and Ubisoft consultant Kazuma Hashimoto, in an interview with the New York Times, said that criticism of the game was allegedly only spread by people in the West who use a translator and misinterpret the words of the Japanese, and the Japanese themselves "were not upset that the game presented Yasuke as the main hero and samurai."

However, users were able to discover that Hashimoto, judging by his LinkedIn profile, is a former employee of Sweet Baby Inc, having worked there from February 2020 to April 2023, i.e. almost the entire time of active development of Assassin's Creed: Shadows.

Thus, Ubisoft hit another rock bottom: in an attempt to whiten its reputation in the eyes of the public, the company attracted an “expert” from Sweet Baby Inc, with whom they jointly developed the game, and to make his opinion sound more authoritative, the company found an employee of Japanese origin and published an article with him in a major publication, the New York Times.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows will be released on November 15 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
