Eva Longoria saved the John Wick franchise by investing $6 million in it
The other day, one of the most entertaining stories about “John Wick” became known, which concerns actress Eva Longoria (“Desperate Housewives”), who is also a producer of the franchise.
In a recent interview dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the franchise , director Chad Stahelski revealed that the first film's budget was cut by nearly $6 million with less than a week left before filming began. According to Stahelski, the actress put up almost $6 million just when everyone on the set expected the worst. CAA was responsible for raising funds to finance the film, which, in an attempt to save the film, offered the actors it represented invest in a franchise. It was then that Eva Longoria acted as a producer.
Well, in the end it turned out that the franchise began to enjoy enormous success. The last film, John Wick 4 (2023), grossed $440 million worldwide.
