Red Dead Redemption preload has started on PC

Rockstar Games has started preloading the PC version of Red Dead Redemption ahead of its release. The game download size via Rockstar Games Launcher is 9 GB. This is similar to the PS4 version released last year and is the expected size. Rockstar Game Launcher has also released an update that users will have to download the next time they launch it.

The Steam version is also available for pre-download and weighs around 8.3 GB. But it’s not available on the Epic Games Store yet.

As we’ve known for several weeks now, Red Dead Redemption is coming to PC on October 29th. Rockstar hasn't publicly announced the timing, but Rockstar insider Tez2 has shared some details. According to the code in the backend of Rockstar Games Launcher and Epic Games Store, the game will be released at 17:00 UTC
