More people play the original Horizon Zero Dawn on PC than the remaster
A few days ago, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was released for PS5 and PC, in which the game was visually redesigned and became similar to Forbidden West. However, at least on Steam, players appear to prefer the original version of the game.
As noted by SteamDB, a site that monitors data for games on Steam, the maximum number of players for the Complete Edition in the last 24 hours was 2,588 people. At the same time, over the same period, 2,251 people played the remaster.
And although these numbers do not reflect the overall sales of each version, there is another statistic that indicates that the original Horizon Zero Dawn was much more popular. Since its release in 2020, Complete Edition has reached 56,557 concurrent players. But the Remastered version peaked at 2,538 fans.
It's worth repeating: the number of online players does not reflect total sales. However, higher numbers tend to correlate with higher sales.
As with the PlayStation 5, Sony is offering PC players the option to upgrade to the Horizon Zero Dawn remaster for just $10. But it doesn’t seem like the players themselves are trying to do this.
