NVIDIA app update fixes performance issues by disabling game filters by default

NVIDIA, which maintains its reputation for quickly fixing bugs, has done it again. Starting with the driver patch, NVIDIA has apparently released a patched version of the GeForce 566.45 driver that is based on the Game Ready driver but addresses specific issues that prevent this change from being classified as a separate driver update, which is why it is called a "fix". /p>

Instead of releasing an update for its "NVIDIA" application that would fix the performance freeze issues, NVIDIA disabled the option "Game filter" is the default in version 11.0.1, which is considered an interim solution to the problem. Recently, the NVIDIA App overlay caused a 15% decrease in performance for some users simply due to settings that are incompatible with many games.

Although disabling the Game Filter option works for now, NVIDIA will probably release an update, but It likely won't be released until next month, so for now, the best solution for users experiencing this issue is to disable this setting.
