Sony filed a collective lawsuit in the Netherlands: the company is accused of overstating prices in PS Store

Game Developer reports that the Massaschade & amp Foundation; Consument for the protection of consumer rights filed a lawsuit against Sony in the Netherlands.

reports that the claim was compiled on behalf of three million PlayStation users: The claim states that the cost of digital games in the PS Store for the residents of the Netherlands on average by average 47% higher than the price of physical copies in retail. According to the fund, the study was conducted on the basis of the 100 best -selling games for PS4 and PS5.

the fund urges Sony to stop behaving as a monopolist, finish illegal actions and reimburse users with overpaid money. MassSchade & amp; Consument believes that Sony violates the European competition rules - in 2019, Sony stopped selling digital codes for games through retailers.

The Fund calls for other users from the Netherlands to join the lawsuit. The first meeting in the case may take place already this year.
