Sony will continue to release games on PC - the company does not see PC versions as a threat to PlayStation
Sony recently held a meeting with shareholders. One of the questions asked to Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki was whether the presence of PC versions had a negative impact on potential PS5 sales due to the fact that users prefer to play on PC.
Hiroki Totoki believes Such fears are unfounded:
Thus, Sony will likely continue to use its current approach to releasing games on PC. Marvel's Spider-Man 2, one of the main PS5 exclusives, will be released on PC less than a year and a half after the console release of the game - on January 30, 2025.
More than 65 million PS5 have been sold so far , which is commensurate with PS4 sales for the same period.
