Steam will begin warning players about the game using an anti-cheat with access to the operating system kernel

Valve has announced that marks will begin to appear on game pages on Steam, which will indicate the presence of an anti-cheat in the game with access to the operating system kernel.

According to Valve, they have decided to introduce these marks at the request of players and developers. They will be entered manually - both on new and old games. Valve will contact the developers and ask them to update information for already released games.

In addition, Steam will begin to warn players in advance about how the anti-cheat will be removed after the game is deleted: automatically or the user will have to do it manually.

Valve clarified that before preparing for the release of the game, company employees will carefully check whether the developers have correctly filled out the information about the anti-cheat in the game.
