Ubisoft sales are down almost 20% this year

Ubisoft is having difficulty launching successful new games. The company has published its latest financial report for the last 6 months and the situation for the French company is not the best. While the company says its back catalog of games has performed well, it appears that sales have dropped significantly compared to last year, even with major game releases.

Overall, the company's game sales fell 19.6%, and its net sales fell 21.9%. While the Assassin's Creed and Rainbow Six Siege franchises continue to show positive results, Star Wars Outlaws has not lived up to expectations.

CEO Yves Guillemot commented :

The plan now is to reduce the company's future costs through better control over hiring, targeted restructuring and lower external expenses, the CEO said. “We are transforming the company into a more efficient and flexible organization,” he commented.
