Stellar Blade fans accuse Naughty Dog character designer of deliberately making Eve ugly

The official Stellar Blade X account posted art from Naughty Dog's lead character concept designer, and fan reaction was immediate. In response, fans called Hyun Taek's Eve's face disgusting, pointing out that the concept art made her look like a man.

Most of the comments under the post expressed the same opinion, and this version of the main character of Stellar Blade called ugly and terrible. Most of the comments also accused the Naughty Dog designer of making Eve "woke," noting that the art was disgusting at best.

Apparently, this is already a trend for Naughty Dog. Recently, the studio also came under fire for explicit DEI elements in the recently announced Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The sci-fi adventure's trailer surpassed the record for most dislikes for a video game, which Concord set earlier this year.

Stellar Blade, which released earlier this year, was a hugely successful title for Shift Up. Much of the game's success was due to the main character, Eve, who became a universal fan favorite due to her objective beauty. The design of Eve developed by the Shift Up studio was highly appreciated by the gaming community, but the new design of the protagonist of Stellar Blade, on the contrary, cannot be called attractive.
