The creators of Nier amusingly reacted to the statements

The other day, the former PlayStation Executive Director Suhai Yoshida shared revelations about the influence of Nier: Automata on the Japanese Game Industry. According to him, the slasher from Platinumgames played a significant role in the development of the genre and, in general, helped to maintain interest in the Japanese games in the world stage.

Such a statement did not go unnoticed by the creators of the game themselves. Yoko Taro and producer Yosuke Saito reacted to the words of the Yoshids in a typical ironic manner for them.
