The first Fable came out 20 years ago
The first Xbox produced many great series that continue to be the foundation of Microsoft's Xbox brand to this day. The first Halo, Forza Motorsport or Fable were great games for which players bought this equipment.
Exactly 20 years ago, on September 14, 2004, Fable from the legendary Peter Molyneux and his studio Lionhead debuted on the first Xbox. It was a revolutionary RPG with great combat, a unique atmosphere inspired by British folklore, and a fantastic karma system that allowed us to play as either a good guy or a bad guy. Everything there depended solely on our actions.
The game, released on the first Xbox, received an expanded version a year later, and in 2014, a remaster for the Xbox 360 in the form of Fable: Anniversary Edition. It received 85% in media ratings and gave birth to a brand that, unfortunately, Microsoft killed with stupid experiments for a good 15 years. However, Playground Games' Fable reboot is due out next year.
