Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.21 has been released, adding support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 and much more; comparison video shows significant improvement in image quality compared to DLSS 3.8
Patch 2.21, released today, introduces, among other things, new photo mode features, fixes to vehicle color customization, character creation randomizer tweaks, and many other general fixes character, which you can learn more about here.
However, the main addition is support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, including support for Multi Frame Generation for the upcoming RTX series video cards 50. After the patch, you will be able to choose between the old CNN model and the Transformer model for DLSS Super Resolution, DLAA and Ray Reconstruction on all RTX graphics cards.
As noted by NVIDIA earlier this month, the new NVIDIA DLSS 4 Transformer model provides a significant improvement in image quality, as shown in a new comparison video produced by MxBenchmarkPC. In Cyberpunk 2077, the new model has a small performance cost, but image quality benefits greatly from this, as ghosts have been significantly reduced and images in motion look more detailed than before. Anti-aliasing for distant objects has also been improved.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One worldwide.
