Atlus's highly rated JRPG Metaphor: ReFantazio, which is protected by Denuvo, was hacked using a demo version
The day before yesterday it became known that users managed to find a way to unlock the full version of the game Metaphor: ReFantazio from Atlus using a demo version, the EXE file of which is not protected by Denuvo.
Unfortunately, players were in for an unpleasant experience surprise: the EXE file of the demo version was missing an important function from the full version, namely, the choice of tasks in the game, which is why it became impassable at the twentieth hour of the game.
However, on Reddit I found a user who was able to restore the cut functions in the EXE file of the demo version. It is reported that the game is now playable on the patched EXE: several users reported that they had already spent over 40 hours in the game and had not encountered any problems, and one of the users said that they had completely completed the game this way. Players also found a way to unlock DLC in the pirated version of the game. The game will probably appear online soon.
Metaphor: ReFantazio has become one of the most highly rated this year:
The game is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with text translation into Russian.
