No Man's Sky has received a creepy content update, The Cursed.
Today Hello Games introduced and released a new update for No Man's Sky called The Cursed, dedicated to Halloween. This is an expedition where players will fight to maintain control of reality while plunging into a twilight universe on the edge of dimensions. Here, day and night alternate at an unnatural pace, and players encounter visions and voices from another dimension.
One of the key elements of the update is the new Boundary StarShip - the first flying saucer in the game, with a design inspired by the work of Hans Giger. Protection against the destruction of reality was also added - the Anomaly Suppressor device, which replaced the standard protection of the exosuit.
While exploring ghostly worlds, players will encounter new dangerous creatures and large-scale bosses not previously encountered in the game. As part of the expedition, the hyperdrive is disabled, forcing players to travel between stars using ancient portals, and mysterious voices will offer clues and secrets.
Upon completion of The Cursed, players will receive unique rewards: a Cthulhu-themed exosuit, pets and a starship Boundary Herald. The expedition will last about three weeks. Hello Games also celebrated the success of the previous Aquarius update, which added fishing, and promised a few more surprises before the end of the year, including a patch for PS5 Pro, which will be released on November 7.
