Regional prices for Lollipop Chainsaw RePop will be changed after a wave of criticism from gamers
Yoshimi Yasuda, one of the key developers of Lollipop Chainsaw RePop, spoke out about the sensational story with the prices of the remaster. It turns out that the team has carefully studied all the complaints and is now ready to meet the players halfway, promising to adjust regional prices “as soon as possible.”
However, Yasuda did not go into detail and specify for which countries the prices will change. But so that you understand the scale of the problem: in Russia, for example, the game now costs 3,560 rubles (this is already at a discount), and in Kazakhstan it costs 19,106 tenge. Unsurprisingly, gamers weren't thrilled.
But pricing isn't the only thing the team is working on. Yasuda said that they are working hard to fix the bugs reported by players. The plans are to add new settings, tweak optimization and deal with problems in physics and graphics. In general, they promise to make the game even better.
By the way, Yasuda also did not miss the opportunity to briefly go through some bloggers and journalists. According to him, some people are spreading rumors about a re-release. For example, there were rumors that the developers allegedly wanted to pass off the RePop mode (where the blood is replaced with bright effects) as a censored version, but then changed their minds. Yasuda categorically denied this, saying that the game fully complies with ESRB requirements and no additional changes were made to it.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was released on September 12. The game is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series S/X and Switch. And despite all the controversy surrounding the prices, it seems that the players liked the remaster. There are already more than 500 reviews on Steam, and an impressive 82% of them are positive.
