Rumor: BioWare management has decided to remove all woke content from Mass Effect 5 after the failure of Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Dragon Age: The Veilguard from BioWare has recently been released. Despite the fact that the game received good ratings from journalists, it was criticized by many players - primarily for the abundant presence of woke content.
The game quickly flew out of all sales charts, and after a month and a half it was launched sell at a 35% discount, which clearly indicates that sales are far from what the publisher and developers expected.
One of the insiders reports that against the backdrop of failed sales Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare management and staff had a conversation in which management asked the developers to defer features, graphics, and content in Mass Effect 5 that might be considered woke or political until future patches. Employees who discover such content in the game should report it so that it can be corrected.
However, Mark Kern, former head of World of Warcraft development, believes that this is very positive news and such content will not return to the game:
Thus, BioWare management will probably achieve the removal of woke content from the game, promising the developers to add it later to avoid dissatisfaction, but after release it most likely will not return, since it implementation will require financial costs, and developers will be switched to other tasks.
The release date and platforms of Mass Effect 5 are currently unknown.
