Until the end of the year, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will receive a patch with activation of the A-Life system and other improvements
Apparently, before the New Year holidays, the developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 from GSC Game World are preparing a large-scale patch that will bring major improvements to the gameplay. According to the Stalker2News community, the update could come out as early as next week. The main innovation of the patch will be the partial activation of the promised A-Life system, as well as a number of other technical and gameplay improvements.
A-Life is one of the key features of the franchise, which is responsible for the dynamic interaction of NPCs and enemies in the open world. As enthusiasts found out, this mechanic was disabled in the release version of the shooter. Later, this information was confirmed by the developers themselves, explaining its disabling by optimization problems. In addition, the update will improve the shadows from the flashlight and bring other changes that are aimed at increasing the realism and depth of the game world.
Recall that the authors recently published a laudatory trailer for the game. The shooter was warmly received by the community, and journalists noted the “merciless and addictive atmosphere” that perfectly captures the spirit of the original trilogy. Even one of Japan's oldest developers expressed his admiration for the game, calling it an "exceptional project" and asking to add official mod support.
