Ubisoft has announced a postponement of the release date of Assassin's Creed Shadows to February 2025
Ubisoft and Ubisoft Quebec have announced the postponement of the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which was originally scheduled for November 15, 2024. The game will now release on February 14, 2025 and will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store), Mac via the App Store, as well as Luna. The Steam version was announced along with the announcement of the transfer.
Ubisoft published an official message explaining the transfer: the developers decided to take additional time in order to bring the game to perfection. Taking the franchise to feudal Japan for the first time, Assassin's Creed Shadows promises to be an ambitious project. The game will feature many new features, such as updated parkour and stealth, designed with fan input in mind, as well as two unique protagonists - Naoe and Yasuke.
Ubisoft understands that the delay may disappoint fans, but considers this necessary to improve the quality of the game. To compensate for the wait, everyone who pre-orders will receive the first expansion for free.
