Ubisoft announces new Tom Clancy game
According to a recent tweet from Ubisoft, a new entry in the Tom Clancy series is on the way.
The hype message teased a new opening expected on Monday, July 19.
This new game could have been a completely original addition to this long-running game series, rather than another sequel or spin-off like Rainbow Six Extraction, which was recently shelved until 2022.
The Tom Clancy video game series, developed and published primarily by Ubisoft, has spawned dozens over the years records.
These games mainly focus on military tactics, espionage and advanced warfare.
Later releases such as Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon Breakpoint and The Division are heavily focused on multiplayer features, allowing players to join forces with their friends to defeat the enemy.
Other games, such as the Splinter Cell lineup, featured intense single-player storytelling. Most of these games, especially those under the control of Ubisoft, have been wildly successful with fans and critics alike.
Even at the most controversial Ubisoft moments, Tom Clancy games have generally been able to run at or above expectations, making them a consistently safe choice when it comes to production.
