Amid the failure of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare Edmonton studio may be closed in February

Mark Kern, the former head of World of Warcraft development, reports that the BioWare Edmonton studio may soon be closed.

The head of development of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a trans woman, has already left the studio Corinne Boucher, who decided to "focus on new projects and challenges." At the same time, she switched her social media account to private mode.

It is reported that against the backdrop of weak sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Electronic Arts management is considering closing BioWare Edmonton, which was responsible for developing the game. The closure of the studio may be announced as early as February - before the upcoming financial report of Electronic Arts, within which the publisher will still have to disclose data on sales of the game.
