It seems that the creators of Indiana Jones planned to use Denuvo, but ultimately abandoned the protection

Today, users using the SteamDB service discovered a mention of Denuvo protection in the files of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

At the same time, some users who have access to the press release version of the game report that pirates should not get upset ahead of time - it is planned that the game will not be protected by Denuvo. The actual size of the game EXE file is only 75 MB. In addition, Denuvo protection is not mentioned on the Steam page and in the user agreement, which only confirms that the game should be released without protection.

Judging by SteamDB, the creators of the game actually planned to implement Denuvo, but the last time the branch with protection was updated as much as 2 months ago: presumably at that moment the publisher decided to abandon the use of protection.

Perhaps this was due to the fact that this year many autumn new products were released without protection Denuvo and the games sold decently in any case - Bethesda could take this into account and not pay for protection. In addition, the game, judging by the laid out system requirements, will already be very demanding on hardware: the use of Denuvo could have an even greater impact on performance.

In any case, it will be possible to clearly answer whether protection is used in the game only on December 6, when the early release of the premium edition of the game will take place.
